Bruce A. McGraw is Vice President of Technology Solutions for Cognitive Technologies, a certified WBE specializing in designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions to improve performance. Mr. McGraw oversees all technology and large-scale projects, including PMOs, architecture analyses, and vendor assessments. Additionally, he helps clients establish enterprise program management offices to manage major development initiatives. Mr. McGraw is a senior systems engineer and program manager with over 20 years of experience across multiple industries. His ability to craft pragmatic solutions to meet project goals, coupled with experience in all aspects of project management, enables him to meet customer expectations with on-time, within-budget deliveries. As a project manager for Cognitive Technologies, Mr. McGraw oversees product installations, integration engagements and large-scale projects, such as software architecture and system integration. Mr. McGraw has a successful track record in leading mixed teams, consisting of client and vendor resources, to accomplish project and business goals. Previously, Mr. McGraw was a Director for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGEY), where he led successful multi-vendor client teams in strategy development, requirements definition, vendor assessment, and implementation. He also implemented and managed a 13-month Enterprise Project Management Office with a staff budget over $1M for a major telecom firm in the Atlanta area. Prior to joining CGEY, Mr. McGraw was a Staff Director for Bell Atlantic (now Verizon), where he was the chief architect and program manager for the implementation of a web-enabled, performance support system, and the program manager for a $200M program requiring management of a cross-functional team and external vendors. His work experience also includes Loral Western Development Labs, where he was the Department Head and Program Manager of the training & development department. He was responsible for managing the design and development of projects including eLearning, performance support, and multimedia instructional products. Early in his career Mr. McGraw was a Product Manager for Spectradyne, where he managed interactive services projects and Texas Instruments, where he commercialized a 200-title eLearning curriculum for the consumer market and managed development of emerging technologies in the AT division. Mr. McGraw holds an MS in Technology Management from the University of Maryland's University College and a BS in Business Administration with a double major in Marketing and Management from the University of South Carolina. Additional education includes graduate computer science studies at North Texas State and a post-graduate Leadership Certificate Program at Wharton College. Mr. McGraw is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is an active member of the Project Management Institute. He has trained in four project management methodologies, has authored numerous articles, and presented workshops in a variety of topics, including managing virtual project teams.
