LCRA Awards Cognitive Technologies a Phase 2 Project to Improve PMIS System

Austin, TX, March 19, 2010. Cognitive Technologies -- a consulting firm specializing in project management, collaborative processes, and organizational effectiveness for federal and state government and Fortune 1000 companies - has been awarded a Phase 2 project from the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA). The consulting project will extend LCRA’s PMIS system by upgrading and improving the reporting capability of the system.

Cognitive Technologies recently completed project work for LCRA that included consolidating and migrating two separate Project Servers and Microsoft SharePoint, upgrading application interfaces, and implementing Microsoft Portfolio Manager 2007. To complete the Phase 2 project, Cognitive Technologies will use a combination of skill sets including Microsoft technical specialists with capabilities in Project Server, SharePoint, SQL reporting services and the company’s expertise in business systems analysis, user centered requirements, and report development.

Customer satisfaction is very important to Cognitive Technologies, so we’re always happy when an existing customer awards us additional work,” says Bruce McGraw, COO of Cognitive Technologies.  “We’re thrilled to begin the Phase 2 project with LCRA and apply our expertise in projects, processes, and technology to capture requirements and to design functional reports that meet user needs.”
