Project Time Management Implementation

Our Project Time Management (PTM) implementation provides you with the processes, tools, configurations, and templates you need to track time for Microsoft projects using Journyx or MS PWA. By combining the power of Journyx or MS PWA with Microsoft Project Server and synchronizing the two, different stakeholders (e.g., project/IT staff, financial and HR staff) can quickly access the accurate information they need.

Key features include configuration, customization, and templates for:

• Single timesheet entry for both project work and non-project work — This includes categories such as time off, holiday, etc.

• Robust approval capability — This includes multi-level approval processes which can be based on projects and/or managers

• Processes and procedures to meet project management requirements — This includes time tracking, time approval, and time reporting

• Integrated documentation and training materials — For time reporting/entry and managerial approval.

Cognitive Technologies provides the coordination, scheduling, planning, communication, and implementation of the key configuration templates and processes for project time management. Our project professionals work with your team to configure both the Microsoft Project Server and either PWA or the Journyx time keeping system to provide synchronized data on tasks and projects. A standard PTM implementation is 6 weeks, 3 of which typically occur on-site, working with your team.

Performance DNA for Project Managers

Using a methodology called Performance DNA, Cognitive Technologies creates a model of high performance based on your exemplary project managers. Then we identify the most effective solutions and recommendations to increase the success of project managers in your organization.

The Performance DNA methodology requires several well-defined steps. First, we analyze the outcomes that project managers must produce to achieve your organizational goals. Then, we drill down to examine the work processes and tasks your project managers use to do their work and produce the outcomes that matter. Next, we examine the influences on performance that act as barriers and facilitators to success — learning and development, managerial support, processes and information, resources/tools, physical workplace, talent acquisition, and motivation. Finally, we consolidate interview data to reveal patterns, trends, and findings. The result is a plan to help you create a new standard for project manager performance in your organization — one that increases the percent of project managers who can perform at the exemplary level.

Costs for this solution vary based on organizational size and number of interviews, but start at $100K.
